Nana Akosua Nyo
Nana Akosua Nyo, Is an Priestess of the Akan Tradition, Omo Babaluaye, Iya Onilade, Omo Orisha IIe Oshun Temple. She has performed with various companies in the Philadelphia community for over 35years. As a Singer,African percussionist she performed and traveled with the Voices of Africa Choral Ensemble through Europe, Africa as well as representing the US.Embassy in La Pas Bolivia in 2015 Cultural exchange with Afro-Bolivians. More than a series of Workshops this project "Reclaiming the Feminine Divine " is a labor of Love and part of my Spiritual and Life mission. I'm so Grateful & Humbled for this opportunity.

Overview
Nana Akosua Nyo is developing an eight-week virtual and in-person workshop focused on African American women and elders reclaiming traditional ways of healing and empowerment, using traditional dance, drum and healing rituals. Participants will learn and establish sacred spaces which will serve as a vehicle for marginalized Women of Color, giving them a voice and spiritual tools to create community circles of support and empowerment.
