Window of Opportunity Grant (WOO)
Overview
Eunice Levis has been selected to attend the prestigious Cross Continental Forum (CCF) in Barbados, where she will represent the Dominican Republic with her feature film project Humanos — a near-future Caribbean sci-fi story exploring transhumanist labor systems, AI, and the fight for cultural memory. Building on her previous short Humano, which was supported by the American Film Institute, this feature film tells the story of a mother’s quest to reclaim her identity in a technologically advanced Dominican Republic. Participation in CCF is critical to securing co-production support, global distribution, and long-term impact for Humanos. This opportunity will not only advance the film but also elevate diasporic narratives in global cinema and bring visibility, partnerships, and resources back to Philadelphia’s creative ecosystem, where Eunice is deeply involved in community-based film work.
The WOO Grant will support Eunice with flight and ground transportation expenses.

Overview
Eunice Levis is developing Affordable Housing, a campy, female-led horror short film that seeks to present the difficult and painful experience of the housing-vulnerable. The story follows the lead character who has to fight monsters to remain in her affordable apartment. The film hopes to not only start a conversation about housing disparity but also identify actionable ways to protect the housing vulnerable by inviting local government officials to screenings as well as hosting community activists and action-based Q&As at screenings.
